rubbish while waiting for adobe premiere

i decided to try out recording last nights sunset using the webcam i’ve set up and seeing if that would be easier…. is it fuck…

although obviously i’m not constrained by time, only hard drive space, its a complete pain in the arse – last night it took an hour to convert the inherent format to mpg – half way through we had to go and meet friends so i just left it running and thought i’d deal with it today. i’d already done most of the work in premiere yesterday so that all i had to do was drop in the mpg, change the speed and then render it…

i’m changing an hour’s video into 60 seconds and after 20 minutes its still only about 15% done… arse – so hence this rubbish…

i went to the girlz skool do at bar de medio last in the port – it was great fun but i wasnt sure whether i would actually get there.. as i said we met a few friends earlier in the evening and the plan was to get a cab to ibiza port around 11.30 ish… when i walked to the cab rank there wasnt a cab in sight – so since the cosmi bar opposite has a girl who i know speaks great spanish and english i thought i’d pop in, get her to ring a cab on my moby while i have a quick beer..

in the meantime some people stand at the cab rank out of view so when the cab turns up, they get in and nick the cab… cue another call to the taxis – “well you have to go and stand out there”

so i finish my second beer by this time and go and wait by 3 spanish guys who are quite plainly off their tits – in a sort of spanglish we acertain that were all going to basically the same place in ibiza so i share the cab with them… one of them cant stop going on about his mate who going to shag some women and where am i going and am i going to shag someone etc etc – halfway through the cab ride i’m wondering whether i’m actually going to go to ibiza town and not end up somewhere in the middle of nowhere

we end up in ibiza town and of course they want to get dropped off first – with the obvious result that i’ll end up with the fare – but the cabbie was having none of it and they gave me 10 euros for their share – which considering it was going to cost me 20 euroes for my cab fair alone i thought was great

after they’d gone the cabbie starts talking to me in pretty decent english – why didn’t he do that in the first place ??

premiere pro is still now only 20% rendered – last nights sunset video is likely to be finished after tonights has been and gone….
