just when i thought the office was getting, shall we say, a little lax, halpert comes up and restores my faith in human nature. the opening sequence was brilliant – i thought jim’s piss taking of dwight had gone but the whole episode was genius.

if you havent seen it, its worth waiting for dwight at the end – rainn wilson is superb

30 rock is again back to “normal service is resumed” – if only because tina fey is showing a load more cleavage than previous episodes – another great episode

i dont know what im going to do when 24 finishes in 2? weeks – i think both the office & 30 rock are a couple of episodes away from season finales as well – what am i going to do ?

when are eureka, intelligence etc coming back ? answers on a postcard

i have to find a couple of decent tv series before the footy season ends to last me though the summer – though looking at the summer “blockbuster” season theres going to be a few films to look forward to

Vista´s UK price, imdb change & the office

It does really make you wonder how microsoft can justify the price difference in vista – i know weve had price differences between the uk & the u.s. for years but when we’re in 2007 – microsoft doesnt have to put a ton of cargo on a boat that takes 2 weeks to sail from the us to the uk – with the ease of software distribution through miriad ways – arguments about overheads etc dont really wash

to be honest i dont give too much of a sh*t for myself since (xxxx xxx xxx xxx) – 5th amendment – but if you do you may want to go here and sign the no.10 petition

on a completely different not ive noticed imdb.com are now doing a “If you enjoyed this title, our database also recommends” – about bleedin time – its probably a godsend for anyone who uses imdb to check out films to d/l

as usual the office and 30 rock were funny – we need more pranking on dwight though – and his stuff at the party was just a little stretching his character – i think its pretty easy now to predict that jim & pam are going to go off into the sunset (something is going to happen with pam, jim & roy – ie roy goes to whack jim and pam gets in the way and roy hits pam instead – type thing…. sort of… possibly… whatever..)

have just started watching the series “the wire” – the only thing is that it reminds me of watching 24 for the first time (series 5) and realising ive got 4 more *series* to watch before i get up to date…..

updates for the week since ive been really lax due to a major website i ve started

. mon: 24 – another classic episode
.tues: pool – have a guess……. i won one and si won – only problem is that we 10 games….
.playing golf on monday for the first time in i guess 8 weeks – i’ll be on the top of my game then…….
.no darts this week as weve rescheduled to next week which means mon golf, tues pool, darts weds & thurs as well as champions league games tues & weds & eufa on thurs – * phew*
.friday i shall be vegging in bed all day
.the darts team who called the game on us and who we beat the other week – weve drawn them in the next round of the cup – we are amused and looking forward to it
.when can we have a standard freakin css system that all browsers work the same with – ive spent HOURS the past 2 days making sure ie7 & ff2 display the same – fookin nightmare – and i havent even checked on ie6 yet since vista has decided it doesnt want me to install standalone version of previous ie.. arse
.did i mention i watched night at the museum? – it was good in a im bored, open a bottle of red, and chill out for 2 hours & get away from the pc…
.ive taken a load of photos and a few vids of kara the dog pre and post haircut on thursdaybefore i go back to ibiza – however vista doesnt like premiere so the vids will have to wait to be uploaded  (have now uploaded a few photos to the kara section)

some bullet points since its 2.20am

• the highly.trained.althetes won the darts last night – it was a combined cup and league match – we went into the last game 6-5 up so the worst we could do was draw, but yours truly caned it and we won 7-5, which meant we won the cup & league game and it just left jason (our best player) to play a best of 3 against one of the other side for the individual cup series thing – he won it 2-0 – spot on
• the office – jim doing pavlovs dog was brilliant – sometimes watching the office is like watching a really horrible gruesome operation – its excruiating but you cant look away – last night was another great episode
• 30 rock – this gets more surreal by the week
• why do i always click on conan o brien demonoid links in my rss reader to find out who hes had on when i know i wont download the show cos i cant stand him ?
• i really like the silversun pickups
• heard a mexican duo? called Rodrigo Y Gabriela playing live and being interviewed on indie103.1 earlier and they blew me away – i cant explain it but if you like latin guitar music then this is yer stuff – they are no.1 in ireland, no.1 in uk world music charts etc etc and are playing on the same bill as ratm’s reforming gig – their website - and they were so funny ( and produced by john leckie no less as well)

this “ad” is really starting to grate

in fact its getting really fuckin annoying – if i lived in santa monica there is no way on earth i would be buying a toyota from that lot – its funny once – but on repeated listens its bollocks (its done like the guy from the branch rings up steve jones all pally like and says theyre expanding blah blah, and to let him know whats happening etc – then they do this embarrasing sing along jingle thing at the end – pass the fuckin sick bag…)

also theres a twat surfer dude reckonging you should go surfing around now because he has really good wet suit stuff and he’s the man – fook right off!!!

and then theres the legalzoom thingy which is some sort of website that enables you to do your own legal stuff – which im sure means that in the end you end up having to go back to them and paying them cos you fucked it all up yourself….

in fact other than these fairly obnoxious 3-4 ads there really arent any others

i spose only in l.a. would you have a weekly show that has a phone-in that basically is ppl phoning in about hollywood legal stuff (copyright, ideas etc) *shakes head*

still going to give it some time though…. the only upside is that because of the time difference most of my day is their graveyard shift – which means i think i get the better part of the deal – ie ive heard the beat, cure, faithless, smiths, pixies, candyskins (jesus – havent heard the candyskins on the radio for years), bauhaus, sd etc etc and virtually no ads

• the office wasnt as belly aching funny this week but was still great – i think andy and karen are history, shame, but thats the way the cookie crumbles
• 30 rock was great – i dont see how how alec baldwin won a globe but he was good – only liz could finally get someone she was attracted to, to end up being “family” – i was really hoping she’d end up getting a good shag
• have started watching a cbc series called intelligence – after the pilot and 2 episodes in i like it – the good news is that i think episode 12 went out last week so ive got plenty of time to catch up
• pysch is back on tv next week i think
• watched idiocracy last night – if you are not a fan or dont like mike judge films then it may not be yer cup of tea – however if you like the piss taken out of the inevitable dumbing down of the u.s then this er bert is your one….
• its not often i want the pool to win but today a 2-0 over chelski was nice – it wouldve been better if drogba had at least got a goal so my competitors in the fantasy footy would have no clean sheet and i would have got a goal scorer – on that note i’ve had a mare – goals flying into my defenders, red cards, no goals – bleedin useless these footbal players….
• turns out some la galaxy players are starting to get a little miffed at beckhams wages – hardly surprising when you work out that he will earn on average 500 times a week what the rest of his team mates do
• at isohunt at least there was a mini blog about what was happening – or not – as of today theres nothing up at all…

i am not predicting anything about tomorrows game – i am going to have chewed most of my nails down to the quick by 1pm let alone when it starts at 5…. i hope we walk it but at least the worst case scenario is still 6 pts ahead of chelski >(

letterman, tina fey, tracey morgan, conan, 30 rock, steve irwins family & darts

i do love american chat shows – i watched late night with letterman from last night who had tina fey (30 rock) and steve irwins wife and daughter on – i defy anyone not to love irwins daughter – only 8 years old and she was brilliant – considering what shes been through – she and her mum were great and letterman did it brilliantly. tina fey was good but i was disappointed to find out shes married with a kid – oh well

tracey morgan from 30 rock was on conan o’brian this week – (he’s on 30 rock with tina fey), hence me watching both chat shows – he was dead funny and played up his 30 rock role superbly

the highly.trained.athletes won 8-4 at darts tonights – we reckon we are joint leaders in the league – if only we could do as well in pool…….

the next few days i have to revamp someones website and prepare for the biggy game on sunday – utd at the arse – no predictions

in other great news the office has been given another series – brilliant

it reminds me of 1992 and having a notepad open to copy and paste html into message boards

now i like 30 rock but wtf is alec baldwin doing getting best comedy actor over steve carrell ? huh?

i cant believe both 24 and the office didnt get anything – its a sham… ( i suppose i’ll have to watch ugly betty – but what happens if i like it? or dont like it?)
