just thought i’d better check back at their site before i take the piss about the ims not putting their videos up (3 months after it happened) and lo and behold they’ve listed all 12 of the videos you can pay 2 euros a pop to download
except – er you cant – when you try and pay you get a “coming soon” rollover graphic
here is what you do IMS – put the fuckers up and let people watch them – you are NEVER going to make any money out of it – and the time and hassle to set up paypal or whatever c.card system you are going to use is going to just eat into the transaction fee and the fee you’ve paid to someone to set it up in the first place
if you’d done that in the first place you could have had them online 2 months earlier when there was maybe still a buzz about the ims (ps we run www.ishopibiza.com so if you let me have the files i can have them on our shop available as a paying digitial download with a couple of hours…. but we’ll have to charge you for the time and effort and obviously there is a transaction charge to figure in)
upload them and let people watch them – are you still living in 1994 ???
here’s another hint – subscribe to bob lefsetz newsletter – google it
i think its hugely ironic the ims is charging people to watch andrew keens speech…. *shakes head*
i wonder what would happen if someone eventually pays the 10 euros for the “all you can eat” version then just whacks em up on you tube and torrents ?
Although this is a scenario that is undoubtedly being acted out all over the planet right now, it’s comforting to know that many of the island’s entrepreneurs are turning this year’s disappointing attendance figures to their advantage by taking their products to their audience, rather than waiting for the punters to come to them.
Our product list began with the range of books that we publish here at magazine HQ, but through popular demand has been expanded to include other publisher’s books, a hotel booking service, tickets for the nightclubs and, most recently, the top selling fashions, music and merchandise from some of the biggest names on the island.
