dizzee rascal at ibiza rocks tonight

1am and i’ve just got back from ibiza rocks hotel and just transferred the photos from the 2 smart cards i have – thats 3gigs and 1426 freaking photos – i have to be more sensible but when you can hit the shutter button and it takes contonuous photos its soooo tempting

now all i have to do is go through all of them and pick about 20-30 shots and stick on the web now… i have the beer and the fags and winamp queued up

it was good though – i’m not a huge fan and wouldnt pretend to be but it was packed and everyone seemed to love it so what can i say

next week i’m really looking forward to the courteeners and the automatic – back to some rock n fuckin roll…

the most hugely anticipated film ive had in yonks

i wanted aliens, government conspiracies, “the man”, maybe mulder shags scully etc

we got fuckin billy connelly as a supposed psychic and mulder and scully are already effectively married before the film begins – what a load of toss

i could understand it as 40 min episode in a series but a feature length ?

what i cant work out was after mulder crashed his car he *stumbled* upon the laboratory – and somehow skinner and scully found him just in the nick of time

now did no one in the fbi get in their fuckin chopper and scope out the places around where the women were going missing and body parts were turning up ?

the plot had mores holes than *insert relevant analogy*…

i cant believe how bollocks it was and i am huge x files fan

after i watched la blues – that was in total contrast – you could maybe argue it was a bit hollywood feely good at the end but the way the story was structured left you guessing – which is why… ok i wont spoiler this one – the music was spot on and i liked the film – imdb it

its warm… the iphone, deady sexy and ibiza rocks rolled into one

i’m normally ok i think with basically fookin hot weather but the past few days have been nuts – i think its because what i said before about the weather jumping in leaps and bounds instead of gradually getting hotter over a couple of months. either that or you forget what it was like the same time last year…

ive got a crappy fan during the day which essentially pushes air around a bit on a half arsed – “can i be arsed?” basis – occasionally during the day i will take a 5 min break and go and have a fag on the balcony – that generally last about 45 seconds before i go back inside

august is going to be a mare but i always have the thought in my mind that says – dont moan its too hot , it could be worse

watched good film called dead sexy tonight – ray winstone, bob kingsley – i cant see how i had it for so long and never watched it… its brilliant – loads of wtf moments… imdb it…

i wonder how long it will be before “imdb it” becomes synonymous with finding out about a film you want to download in the same way “google it” is with searching for regular stuff

on the iphone front after 2 months i think with one, i wouldnt give it up for anything – its a phone? i never use it as a phone in the same way i never used my previous mobile as a phone – the phone i had before was basically a redundant piece of junk i hated. if you wanted to get hold of me i was either at home – ie email me – or i was out so why are you ringing me? – i’m out…

the fact i can check my email, surf, do my rss feeds from anywhere is bloody great – another level of redundancy – a week or so ago i thought i should put a clean version of vista on another drive, its always handy to have a clean os somewhere as a back up…

on friday 1 version of vista i had decided to not like me so i realised god was telling me to junk the i drive version, and start again from the new c drive version i had set up a few days before – while i was doing that i was debating whether to get the laptop from the bedroom and do me rss, emails etc on that – thats when the i laughed and sat back clicked next next next on the various loads of programs i needed to install and did everything on me iphone – it was easiier to do that than walk across 5 metres and grab the laptop

tuesday is dizzee rascal at ibiza rocks – not exactly my cup of tea, but his single has grown on me (it could be argued that its because its played every 5 seconds on the radio..)

i’m interested to see how it works out down there – ive got a feeling it could be a lot of fun or a load of hip hop shouty bollocks – hope its the former.. then the week after my brother comes out for his 40th birthday – i wouldnt expect too much on the blog that week

got a press release from them this morning about their 5 day party at the end of sep (17-21st)

apparently they do one in austria called snowbombing (appropriately enough) and are expanding to do stuff here – there’s a ton of bands and stuff going on (boat parties, manumission, cream etc) but i think i’ll stick to the ibiza rocks hotel stuff

i watched dark knight the other day – ive never been a big fan of the batman films – in fact i generally hated them but this one was different. i can understand now why people were saying heath ledger should get a post posthumous oscar – it was a very dark film and he was outstanding as the joker – there was a review i read this morning that said that “he sucked the oxygen out of every scene” – it was true but in a good way

i cant believe i will actually say i liked a batman film – but this was good…

a caveat – it was late and i may have been pissed

john lydon is a twat – official

i’ve never liked the bloke – he’s always seemed to be a hypocritical wanker to me

steve jones on the other hand and paul cook always seem to come across as being good blokes who are grateful for what happened to them in the late 70’s – steve jones radio show on indie 102.1 is a case in point. i remember him playing pink floyd next to some punk track and remarking about lydon would be saying if he heard it

anyway it seems that over the weekend at a spanish festi lydon (or someone in his entourage) and block party’s Okereke got into a little discussion with the result that he (Okereke ) got a split lip etc

lydon has come out today and said this (courtesy of the nme):

The Sex Pistols’s John Lydon has hit back at claims he was involved in an “unprovoked racist attack” on Bloc Party’s singer, Kele Okereke.

Kele Okereke claimed he was assaulted by Lydon and members of his entourage who had directed a “racist tirade” at him.

Members of Foals and Kaiser Chiefs were said to have stepped in to help the Bloc Party singer.

However, the Sex Pistols frontman has put the incident down to jealousy on Okereke’s part.

“I feel very sorry for a man who needs to lie about what was a perfect evening,” Lydon said in a statement. “After the show John Rotten and management remained behind to sign autographs, which we did for four solid hours without incident and had a great time talking to other Spanish bands. This seems to have sparked jealousy in certain bands.

“The trouble was brought to us, resulting in those causing the trouble being physically removed by festival security.”

He added: “We are in the middle of a wonderful tour, after 30 years we are achieving a true unity in our audience. They are multi-varied, all ages, all races, creeds and colours.

“When you are at a festival with bands who are jealous fools, lies and confusion usually follow. If they need publicity so badly this is the allegation universe they run into.”

Lydon concluded by telling Okereke to “grow up and learn to be a true man.

“When you have achieved as much as I have, come back and talk to me,” he added. “It’s a shame that the wonderful world of the media is riddled with nonsense like this.”

Okereke indicated that he has contacted the police both in Spain and in the UK in following the incident, though Lydon did not mention this in his statement. It is currently unclear whether any further action will be taken.

now aside from the fact that according to yesterdays nme Okereke was actually assualted – what the fuck is this man on:

which is what exactly lydon ? – marrying a rich woman and living in hollywood? rehashing the pistols for a reunion tour – exactly the same thing you railed against?

i watched one of the rock family tree series last night about the banshees – whilst severin, siouxsie, budge, john mckay, kenny morris, marco pirroni etc came out of it well and looked back on it and were honest, lydon did his typical “i’m great” bollocks
